Albania and Macedonia closer to the EU

In the middle of the debate on the direction of the European integration project, Brussels is continuing its expansive policy towards the East. The European Commission is hoping that the governments of the European Union will open the doors of access to two republics of the former Yugoslavia - Macedonia and Albania - at the upcoming June summit. According to the EU body, both Balkan countries are in “a moment of reform” that would allow them to start discussing their entry into the EU with Brussels.
