Lodging found for immigrant minors sleeping in court

staff

The Generalitat has decided to accommodate unaccompanied immigrant minors who have arrived in Barcelona in youth hostels so they do not have to sleep in the capital’s central court building. The decision taken by the Labour and Social Welfare Department will put an end to a situation of new arrivals having to sleep in the public prosecutor’s office until lodging can be found for them. The situation has been going on for months due to the increase of undocumented youths arriving in the city.
