Catalan theologist Rovira Belloso dies
“Vatican II is the return of the Gospel to the people and the return of the people to the Gospel,” Monsignor Rovira Belloso believed of the Council. The 92 year-old Catalan, who was a theologian of reference in the religious community, died on Saturday. A well-known university lecturer for many years in Catalonia, Rovira Belloso was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi by the Generalitat in 1999.
