Alien art of Robert Llimós at BCN’s Ufology World Congress

The artist Robert Llimós (Barcelona, 1943) observed and had contact with an alien spaceship along with two of its crew in the dunes of Fortaleza, in Brazil, nine years ago. It was the UFO that approached him. Whether you believe it or not, Llimós is convinced and ever since then his work has followed a single theme: portraying the aliens and the spaceship he had a chance to observe for an hour and a half.

“It was communication without words. No doubt they already knew that I was an artist and had been following me for some time, I think because they wanted me to be able to portray them.”

And that is what he did. He gave up on the work that had established him as one of the most relevant Catalan artists of his generation and devoted himself to painting the ship and its reptilian-like crew members, which according to Llimós were male and female.

“But on the ship there were others of all sorts of shapes and colours,” he says.

He has reproduced these images in lots of different formats, from canvas to acrylics, from engravings to digital. Some of the larger pieces are now on display to coincide with the Ufology World Congress, which is being held in Barcelona on June 22-24 at the Hotel Alimara.
