Bureau to make final decision on suspending MPs

The bureau of the Catalan parliament yesterday tabled the debate on how to apply the suspensions of six MPs ordered by the Supreme Court because they are awaiting trial for their part in the independence bid. Yet, no final decision will be taken until today, in an extraordinary meeting at 9am. Speaker Roger Torrent adjourned the debate so political groups can study the legal advice suggesting the six MPs be substituted by colleagues, which would have the same effect as a proxy vote.
