Espanyol began the new football season drawing 1-1 at Celta Vigo yesterday. A new-look Espanyol under new manager, Rubi, was combative and hard-working but an own goal by David López on 52 minutes deprived the Catalan club of all three points. Earlier, on the verge of halftime, the blue-and-whites had scored from a corner, thanks to defender Mario Hermoso.
