Baselga resigns from Sloan Kettering Centre

Josep Baselga has resigned as a medical director of the Sloan Kettering Cancer Memorial in New York after The New York Times made public that he had failed to inform the centre that he had been paid millions of dollars by the pharmaceutical company Roche in recent years while also working in and directing research projects into new treatments. Baselga denied any wrongdoing and said that he had resigned because he did not want to be “a distraction to the hospital” and its remarkable work.
