Fifth woman to win Nobel for chemistry

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to the North America Frances H. Arnold, George Smith, also from the US and and British Gregory P. Winter, for their advances in the development of proteins from the exploitation of evolutionary power. Arnold is the 5th woman to win the Nobel for chemistry, after Marie Curie , Irène Julíot-Curie, Dorothy Crawfoot Hodgkin and Ada Yonath.
