20% suffer sexual abuse as children, says NGO
One out of every five Catalans suffer sexual abuse in their childhoods. That is according to the Save the Children NGO in the launch of a new campaign, Trenco el silenci (I’m breaking the silence), in which appear a number of witnesses explaining their experiences. The NGO also pointed out that 10% of cases of sexual abuse reported to police involve a minor as a victim.
