Interpol chief’s wife fears husband is dead
Grace Meng, the wife of the acting director of Interpol, Meng Hongwei, secretly detained in China, said yesterday that she is not sure if her husband was still alive after mysteriously disappearing last month on a visit to Beijing. In an interview with the BBC, Grace Meng said that she and her children have not seen or heard anything of Meng since September 25, when he traveled from France to China. Chinese authorities have admitted that Meng was arrested on charges of corruption.
