Results of Rambla consultation presented

What to do with Barcelona’s Rambla has been a pending issue for years. Mayor Ada Colau commissioned a study and the results were presented yesterday. After deliberations involving experts, organisations and locals, the results boil down to two basic needs: renovating the boulevard, and altering its focus so it is not exclusively aimed at tourism. Renovations will not begin until the end of 2019, while some 53 actions are planned to promote local involvement, including children’s areas and cultural projects.
