France censured over Armenian genocide day
French President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement on Tuesday about making April 24 the national day to commemorate the Armenian genocide met with controversy in Turkey yesterday when the authorities censured the announcement. Last October Macron visited Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, in the framework of the summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie.
