Film in Catalan language falls to 2% of total

Cinema is the last great medium in which the Catalan language lacks normalisation. After 39 years of self-government and linguistic policies and laws, the total audience figures watching films in Catalan (taking into account original version, dubbed and subtitled films together) fell to only 2.08% in 2018. The cinema law passed in 2014 targetted 50% of films available in Catalan by 2018.
