Del Torro fabricates facts

Del Torro stated she heard the Catalan parliament Speaker on September 20, but she can’t have

She said the investigation into rebellion began before then

Montserrat del Torro, the clerk of investigating court number 13 in Barcelona, gave additional information about the searches she oversaw at the Catalan economy ministry on September 20 in her statement yesterday. Some jurists claim that in some of her statements she may have given false testimony. Moreover in response to questions from the defence lawyers, she admitted that there were certain irregularities in the investigation into the October 1 referendum which relate to material being used in reference to this case in the supreme court and the national court.

Del Torro confirmed that investigating court number 13 in Barcelona began investigations into the crimes of rebellion and sedition by searching some forty official headquarters and the homes of 20 public offices and officials on September 20. That is to say the crime of rebellion began being investigated prior to the peaceful protest about the searches on September 20 that the prosecutors office cites as the first violent act that gives grounds for accusations of rebellion. Jordi Pina, the defence lawyer for ex-ministers Jordi Turull and Josep Rull and ANC ex president Jordi Sànchez, informed her that this crime had been ruled out by the High Court of Catalonia.

Del Torro also mentioned for the first time that outside the economy ministry she had heard “the voice of a woman”, and that it seemed to her to be the voice of the Speaker of the Catalan parliament, Carme Forcadell, and that a few police officers had told her it was Forcadell. But Forcadell’s lawyer, Olga Arderiu, later clarified that she had not in fact given a speech there that night.
