Girona court to call in those responsible for police charges

A Girona-based court is scheduled to begin calling in the civil guard and national police officers who are being investigated for the police charges that took place during the Catalan referendum on October 1 2017. The class-action lawsuit is directed against the agents that were at the polling stations in schools in Girona city, Sant Julià de Ramis and Aiguaviva; their commanding officers, and those responsible for their presence at the schools. The charges brought against them include torture, injuries and crimes against individuals’ rights.
