Georgina Llull

Dublin

In Dublin's fair city

Georgina Llull is from Sant Cugat del Vallès- she has been living in Dublin since 2004
Why did you leave Catalonia?
Because I wanted to improve my English and thought that the quickest way would be to live in an English-speaking country
Why did you choose Ireland?
I had a friend in Ireland, an Irish friend who I met in Germany!
How long have you lived there?
For 12 years now.
Are you happy with the job opportunities you found in your adoptive country?
Yes, there are loads of job opportunities and also opportunities to grow within each company.
What do you think is the best thing about living in Ireland?
Definitely NOT the weather LOL!! I think the good salaries combined with reasonable working conditions and the multi-cultural society.
What do you consider the highlights for any brief visit for the first time would be?
Dublin is not a really nice city, The west of Ireland is the nicest part. Galway and the Connemara national park.
And if visitors have more time or make a return visit?
Two weeks driving around Ireland, the landscape is absolutely amazing and the people are really nice as well!
What do you miss most from home?
The sun, good food and the lifestyle that comes with good weather ( Catalan people take it for granted!)
Do you plan to go back to Catalonia?
Yes, hopefully sometime soon!
