New edition of 080 BCN Fashion opens
The 18th edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion show opens tomorrow until Friday in the Institut Nacional d'Educació Física on Montjuïc. The event includes 40 designers and brands, with a showroom and an area open to the public with a Fashion Market, food trucks and exhibitions.
With a budget of 1.3 million euros, the event continues the recent philosophy of providing a shop window for the sector with this year a new prize –the MODACC (Clúster Català de la Moda), to be awarded to the best collection from a brand with a turnover over two million euros a year. The prize (10,000 euros in consultancy services and an invitation to put on a show next year) joins the event's existing prizes for the best collection from a designer with a shop and a turnover under two million euros, and for the best emerging designer, which comes with 15,000 euros, donated by Desigual.
