Maduro escapes assassination attempt
Venezuelan president Nícolas Maduro escaped an assassination attempt as he presided over a military parade in Caracas. Official sources say a number of drones loaded with explosive devices detonated near the presidential entourage. Maduro has blamed the attempt on neighbouring Columbia. There have been other reports that the explosion was caused by a gas tank in a nearby building.
