Over 1,100 elderly in la Caixa’s voluntary work
A total of 1,121 elderly people around Catalonia participated last year in a programme which was part of ’La Caixa’s ’ welfare projects to encourage voluntary actions among the elderly. They participated in 142 different activities, especially in the fields of education and culture, as well as in solidarity initiatives with people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.
