Sánchez repeats call for “law and dialogue”
Pedro Sánchez’ response on his first National Day of Catalonia as head of the Spanish government was to insist on his offer of “law and dialogue” to resolve the Catalan conflict. For their part, after years of Rajoy appealing to the “silent majority” that stays at home in Catalonia in the belief that the independence movement would lose strength over time, and in a clear attempt to detract power from the citizens on the streets, the PP’s new leader Pablo Casado again called for the implementation of Article 155.
