Eight million migrants expected in next 30 years
The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (Airef) forecasts that the population in Spain will reach 60 million by 2050, due to the arrival of 8 million migrants in the next 30 years. Airef’s prediction that the population will grow between 4 and 13 million in 30 years, to between 51 and 60 million, is higher than the 44 million forecast by the Spanish Statistical Office (INE).
