CatSalut to pay €141,573 to woman over loss of uterus

Barcelona’s high court yesterday ratified a sentence in which the Catalan health service, CatSalut, was ordered to pay compensation of €141,573 to a 27-year-old woman after her uterus was removed following an infection she contracted after she gave birth by caesarean section in the Sant Joan de Déu hospital in Esplugues de Llobregat, in 2013.
