Breast cancer in males at last draws attention

The Hospital Clínic de Barcelona yesterday presented the Fundació INVI, the first foundation of its type created in Spain, to “make visible what is invisible” and to promote awareness of male breast cancer, which accounts for just 2% of the total cases. The association, founded by one of the patients of the hospital’s oncology service, Màrius Soler, was presented as part of Immunotherapy Day and International Breast Cancer Day. Early symptoms of breast cancer in males are often ignored.
