France proposes to station police in some schools

The French government is studying the possibility of stationing police officers or gendarmes in certain school centres in conflictive neighbourhoods to control violent incidents such as that of the teacher who was victim of an aggressive prank on Thursday by a student who pointed a gun at her. She was unaware the gun was false. The incident caused outrage and forced the ministers and interior and education to call for an emergency meeting study how to deal with such cases of violent behaviour.
