Carolina Bescansa to give up her seat in Spring
The Unidos Podemos MP Carolina Bescansa announced yesterday that she will give up her seat in Spain’s parliament next spring, after losing in her attempt to be elected general secretary of the party in Galicia. The timing of her resignation will coincide with the end of the investigations of the committees she heads looking into the alleged illegal financing of the PP and another which is studying proposed electoral reform. Bescansa has had a number of disputes with the party’s national council.
