Court to investigate four Guardia Civil police officers

Barcelona’s high court has ordered a court in Manresa to summon three Guardia Civil police officers who took part in the crackdown on the independence referendum on October 1, in nearby Fonollosa, and also the head of the police team that intervened in the Quercus secondary school in Sant Joan de Vilatorrada. The order comes after an appeal by the lawyers’ association of Manresa. In the case of Sant Joan de Vilatorrada, the high court considers the actions of the police to have been excessive.
