Independence bloc would win a new election, says poll

The pro-independence Esquerra party (ERC) would get the most seats in the Catalan parliament if there were a new election, according to a poll by the Centre for Opinion Studies (CEO). The poll says that ERC would win 36 to 38 seats, at least four more than it has now. This means the pro-independence majority would be maintained in parliament, even with Junts per Catalunya (JxCat), currently with 34 MPs, going down to 23 to 34 seats, but the far-left CUP going up from 4 seats to 8 to 10.
