Primary care doctors begin five days of strike

Tired of years of cuts to healthcare, doctors across Catalonia began a series of strikes today. They claim staff cuts have pushed their workloads to unacceptable levels, and are demanding a maximum of 28 appointments per day, and a minimum of 12 minutes per patient. According to Metges Catalunya, 920 doctors have been cut from the health service between 2010 and 2017.
