Lion Air plane was not airworthy before it crashed
Indonesian investigators have said that the Lion Air plane that crashed off Indonesia was not fit to fly on its penultimate journey, in which pilots had problems that were similar to those that caused the plane’s fatal flight last month. This came to light in an official investigation carried out by the Indonesian authorities into the Lion Air accident, in which a Lion Air plane crashed into the Java Sea a few minutes after taking off from Jakarta airport with 189 occupants on board, none of whom survived.
