Hunger strikers: “Strong, supported, and determined”

Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Turull have begun a hunger strike in prison, to denounce the administrative blockage being used as a tool by the Spanish Constitutional Tribunal (CT). The tribunal’s indefinite inaction prevents their case’s access to the European Court of Human Rights. Basque politician Gorka Knörr explained this yesterday on social media: “To contextualise the actions of Sànchez i Turull, in the case of the Basque Parliament, the CT blocked our appeal for five years, from 2008 to 2013. Then we were able to go to Strasbourg, and we won.”
