Six dead and sixteen injured in train crash

Six passengers were killed and sixteen more were injured yesterday in a train crash that took place on Storebaelt bridge, one of the Great Belt bridges linking Denmark’s main islands, Denmark officials said. Those who were wounded are now out of danger. The passenger train was heading to Copenhagen when, at around 7:30 in the morning, debris from a freight train coming in the opposite direction (towards Fyn) hit it forcing the train to brake suddenly. A heavy storm was raging at the time.
