Public prosecutor dismisses nose blowing case
The Madrid office of the public prosecutor has requested that the accusations against the comedian Dani Mateo be dismissed. He was accused of flag desecration and hate crimes after a Spanish police union made a complaint about Mateo blowing his nose on the Spanish flag on El Intermediario, a satirical TV show covering news stories. The public prosecutor says it was to some extent provocative as a satirical sketch, but is nevertheless protected by the right to freedom of speech.
