Barcelona opens Catalonia’s first LGBTI centre

Barcelona has opened the first LGBTI centre in Catalonia. According to the city council, the centre will be managed by the Plataforma d’Entitats LGTBI de Catalunya. The platform is a federation of groups that defend the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people. The centre on carrer Comte Borrell in the Sant Antoni neighbourhood cost €1.7 million.
