Brunei punishes homosexuality with death

As of next week when the new penal code in Brunei will come in to effect, homosexuality, which was already illegal in the small Asian monarchy, will be punishable whipping, or even death, as will adultery or rape. Crimes like thievery under the new sharia-inspired penal code will entail the amputation of an arm. Crimes must be “witnessed by muslims”.
