Manresa to remember victims of Franco bombings

Manresa is to commemorate the 35 fatal victims of the bombings of the city by Franco’s forces in the Spanish Civil War. The exhibition in the Renaixença air raid shelter is called I la mort va caure del cel (And death fell from the sky), which opens next Friday, and can be visited until March 3. Franco’s bombing of civilian populations left over 5,000 dead in Catalonia.
