It is now a tradition in Brunyola to celebrate the Fira de l'Avellana the first weekend of October. The event has become a meeting point for producers and visitors, who have the opportunity to pick the tasty nuts right from the trees, and taste various dishes and desserts cooked with the local hazelnuts.

For yet another year, mushroom hunters in Solsona gather at the Fira del Bolet i el Boletaire. Visitors will be introduced to the secrets of mycology through exhibitions, workshops, and mushroom picking with experts. The fair marks the start of the gastronomic mushroom festival which will last until mid November. Solsona (Solsonès).

Apples from the Torroella de Montgrí region are famed for their quality and considered to be among the best in the country. Every year, the Jornades de la Poma a la cuina, take place in honour of this local staple. Apples are also the star ingredient on the menus of many local restaurants.
