All October, restaurants in Lloret de Mar host the 14th Jornades Gastronòmiques de la Cuina del Peix de l'Art, a festival which pays homage to the town's long standing seafaring tradition. This month, Palamós hosts a gastronomic festival which aims to present the best local cuisine. The third weekend of October, Seu d'Urgell celebrates the Fira de Sant Armengol, coinciding with the local Pyrenees cheese fair. It is now a tradition in Brunyola to celebrate the Fira de l'Avellana the first weekend of October. For yet another year, mushroom hunters in Solsona gather at the Fira del Bolet i el Boletaire. Visitors will be introduced to the secrets of mycology through exhibitions, workshops, and mushroom picking with experts.
