Bolsonaro endangers nature reserves

Jair Bolsonaro was sworn in yesterday as President of Brazil. Hours after taking office the far-right politician signed a decree that gives the ministry of agriculture (which is controlled by the agribusiness lobby) power over the regulation and creation of new indigenous reserves. This act has sparked indignation from indigenous leaders, who see this decree as a threat to nature reserves and a concession to farming industry interests. And right now deforestation is becoming increasingly dangerous for the planet.
