Ex-Falangist prior denies access to exhume Franco

The prior of the monument where Francisco Franco’s remains are buried, La Valle de los Caídos, Santiago Cantera, has said he will not grant the government access to the site to undertake the exhumation of the Spanish dictator. The prior, who in the nineties stood as a Falangist candidate in elections, was characterised as “obstructionist” by the government.
