FIFA sanctions FEF over transfers of under-18s

FIFA is continuing its crusade against irregularities in football transfers involving minors, and this time the world football governing body has decided to directly penalise the Spanish Football Federation (FEF), which it accuses of violating “several provisions concerning the international transfer and first registration of minor players.” FIFA has imposed a fine of 220,000 Swiss francs (€203,000) on the FEF and given it six months to change the rules in force in the country regarding the transfer of minors.
