Boko Haram kidnap 500 women and children in Nigeria

Nigeria's radical Islamist guerrilla organisation, Boko Haram, has reportedly kidnapped half a thousand women and children from the city of Damasak, in the northern state of Borno, only days after the city was liberated by troops from Chad and Niger: “There are not enough soldiers to protect everyone,” said Aminu Mussa, a Damasak local in reaction to the mass kidnapping. Soldiers from Chad and Niger found dozens of dead bodies after taking over the city last week. It is reported that Boko Haram murdered some 50 people in its withdrawal from the besieged city.
