Students finish ESO with optimal level of English
The February exam results of students in the fourth year of ESO, or secondary education, reveal that the 70 point mark was topped in English for the first time. 70 points represents “optimal knowledge” of the language. The previous two years' averages were 69.3 and 66.9, respectively. At the Catalan Education Committee hearing in Parliament yesterday, the Minister of Education, Meritxell Ruiz, explained the measures that have been taken and will be taken to improve competences in the language.
