Over a thousand cases of robbery a day last year
Robbery continues to be the offence most often reported to police, say government figures. Last year, 87% of offences reported (472,265) were for robbery, said interior ministerJordi Jané yesterday. Specifically, police received 1,128 complaints for robbery a day in 2016. Yet, there was a 1.9% fall in robbery, with 26,942 fewer cases of burglary and 367 fewer cases of violent robbery.
