MWC opens to large turnout and some protests

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) began yesterday with a mass turnout of attendees (more than 100,000 are expected), with Barcelona's public transport system reinforced. There were protests outside the fair and in other parts of the city as Catalan president Carles Puigdemont and King Felipe VI attended. Puigdemont described the meeting between the two as “cordial”.
