New head of land forces appointed in Catalonia
On Friday the state cabinet appointed Fernando Aznar Ladrón de Guevara the new inspector general of land forces, replacing Ricardo Álvarez-Espejo García. Aznar thus becomes the new representative and head of the army in Catalonia, Aragon, Navarra and Rioja, the defence ministry confirmed yesterday. Fernando Aznar will take up his post on April 6 in an internal act at the ministry.
