Macron confirms absolute majority in France

Despite one of the lowest turnouts in history, the predictions were confirmed in yesterday’s second round of the French legislative elections with Emmanuele Macron’s En Marche projected to have won some 355 seats in the 557-seat parliament, meaning Macron is now fully in control of the French political landscape. Marine le Pen held her own seat but FN won only seven seats.
