Swiss reject government pension proposal

A rebuke for the Swiss government with the rejection in a referendum yesterday for the first time in 25 years over the pension system. 57% of the Swiss voted against the proposal of the executive which, among other changes, proposed lifting etirement age for women (now at 64) to 65, the same as for men. In another vote, the Swiss backed the inclusion of a right to food in the Constitution.
