Mercabarna celebrates 50 years with run

Some 4,500 people took part in a race and more than 30 other activities organised by Mercabarna to commemorate its 50th anniversary. The 2,000 runners used the food chain’s own installations in Barcelona as the race track while 2,500 more people participated in other sports. The activities were followed by a lunch that ended with a five-tiered cake made by the chef Christian Escribà.
