Workers granted permanent disability
Two workers aged 54 and 55 have been granted permanent disability by two Barcelona courts as a consequence of their illnesses, despite having their initial requests to the Social Security denied. The women now have the right to receive a benefit of €700 per month. In one case a cleaner has a tumor affecting the head and one eye. The other is a kitchen assistant with bone and joint disease.
