Record numbers of hotel guests in September
Hotels in Catalonia saw record numbers of guests in September according to figures from Spain’s official statistics office, the INE. Some 2.05 million people stayed in Catalan hotels in September, 4.3% more than last year. The record number translates into more than 6.66 million overnight stays, some 3.3% more than 2016, and higher than the average in Spain, which was 2.2%.
